Short Description

The SPRINT project aims to develop a universal deposition technology of matter with tuned crystallinity,  in multiple surfaces, at ambient temperature and atmospheric pressure. The new technology will enable the deposition of complex 2D/3D topologies with great control over the properties of the deposited films. The consortium brings together teams at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (Switzerland), National Centre for Scientific Research (France), Porto University (Portugal), KU Leven (Belgium), Spanish National Research Council (Spain), Graz University (Austria), as wells as industrial partners, i.e. Creative Nano (Greece) and Centre for Research, Technology and Innovation (Cyprus).

The team led by Tiago Sotto Mayor (FEUP / Portugal) is responsible for the modelling, simulation and optimisation of the injection nozzles to be developed. Outputs of the SPRINT technology are expected in multiple areas, from microelectronics to high-performance photovoltaics, from new generation of fuel cells to biotech applications.
